The last 12 months have been among the most challenging in recent memory for farming. Throughout this time, the NFU has been at the forefront of fighting for our industry.

From stopping the worst aspects of trade deals and Defra cuts, to challenging the closure of the Sustainable Farming Incentive, and leading the charge on water issues and farm safety, we’ve been making the case for British farming and influencing government policy.

We’re also fighting tirelessly, both in public and behind the scenes, against the government’s proposed changes to Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief through our Stop the Family Farm Tax campaign.

These changes would place cruel and unsustainable pressure on already-struggling farms, with life-changing consequences for many.

Through continued lobbying, we’re fighting to make sure ministers and MPs can’t ignore the strength of opposition across our industry.
