From Cumbria to the Isle of Wight and from Herefordshire to Norfolk, 27 sessions were held, attracting nearly 1,700 members keen to strengthen their knowledge and skills in this vital area.

The events covered a wide range of practical and relevant topics designed to address the everyday risks faced on farm.

NFU members received guidance on load security, overhead power lines, ATV safety, road regulations for agricultural vehicles, livestock handling, vehicle maintenance, working at height, HSE (Health and Safety Executive) investigations, and emergency first aid, among other key issues.听

鈥淏y running these events, the NFU is leading the way on how to change the culture of farm safety.鈥

Open discussion

By bringing together experts and local farmers, the sessions provided a platform for open discussion, sharing of experiences, and practical demonstrations that farmers could apply immediately to their businesses.
