Chaired by NFU horticulture and potatoes board chairman Ali Capper, and with guest speakers from Defra Plant Health and NFU policy experts, this meeting updated members on policy developments around the trade of plant and plant products between the EU and UK after 1 January 2021. It also gave members the opportunity to raise their questions and concerns directly to Defra in a Q&A session.
Alongside key policy updates, NFU EU exit and international trade adviser Emily Roads laid out the on-going work of the NFU on this important matter, including significant wins on behalf of members, and key asks going forwards. You can read more on NFU work here.
