Watch it again - regional farmers who irrigate were briefed by the union鈥檚 national water specialist on all aspects of abstraction, the new licence charge regime, and general permit information.

A briefing on 17 May followed last year鈥檚 Environment Agency strategic review of abstraction charges and what it could mean for farm businesses.

Kelly Hewson-Fisher, NFU national water resources specialist, led the virtual discussion taking in the new licence charge regime, in force since 1 April, changing licences into permits and the environmental permitting regulations.

A question and answer session followed.
