Following the sudden closure of SFI24 applications, NFU senior countryside adviser Claire Robinson looks at the detail behind the announcement, answering your most pressing questions on what happens next.

The announcement of the sudden closure of SFI to new applications was made on 11 March – a surprise to everyone, the decision has created uncertainty for many farming businesses.

It has put those impacted in a really difficult situation, both financially and mentally.
