NFU external affairs manager Scott Pepe lifts the lid on how the NFU defends the interests of British farming while pushing for changes that could benefit the industry.

Part of the role of the NFU’s external affairs team is to closely monitor draft legislation – the bills introduced by government. We work with policy colleagues to analyse their impact – positive or negative, intended or unintended – on British farming.

Where there are parts of a bill that concern us, we work to change them.
