Should the Red Tractor Greener Farms Commitment now be scrapped. Considering the overwhelming feeling of the farming community?. What do the Various speakers feel about this and dare they say what they really think?
Do the panel think the next elected Government should invest in R&D? For example ‘The Small Robot Company’ were doing some excellent R&D with investment from private investors including very many farmers, however the company folded as they couldn’t gain the next round of funding. This seems a huge waste of the progress they had achieved.
From the farming and agricultural industry perspective, do you think it matters which Party we vote for?
Where does the panel see vertical farming fitting into the quest for sustainable food supplies?
Delyth, your figures on carbon sequestration in comparison with the equivalent volume of oak trees is absolutely remarkable. That message of the opportunity for good carbon sequestration on productive land seems to be consistently overlooked in the political and public conversation. How do you think we could better promote that opportunity and what advice would you give farmers like myself that are embarking on the journey of quantifying carbon as you have?
