EGL3 & 4
EGL3 & 4 are currently in the statutory consultation phase. EGL 3 would run from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, to Walpole, Norfolk, and EGL 4 would run from Westfield, Fife, to a common location in Walpole, Norfolk. The project will include a subsea cable to bring the cables onshore and then underground cables to the substation at Walpole. Information can be found on the project website .

EGL5
EGL5 is currently in the first stage of consultation. EGL 5’s subsea offshore cables would run from Scotland and make landfall on the Lincolnshire coastline at Anderby Creek. Once onshore, underground cables will be laid to a converter station located either to the north-east of Bilsby or to the north-west of Huttoft, within East Lindsey and then into a substation near Bilsby.
