New LNR county adviser Dilwyn Harries and new Midlands administrator Katie Hewett

We have welcomed two new members of staff to the NFU Midlands team in recent weeks.

Dilwyn Harries is the new county adviser for Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland (LNR).

Originally from West Wales, Dilwyn has been based in Leicestershire for the past eight years.

鈥淚n my spare time I have a couple of retired ex-racehorses and two working springer spaniels which I take beating when time allows.

"I鈥檓 also an avid Wales rugby supporter so am looking forward to being entrenched in enemy territory for the Six Nations this year!

鈥淚鈥檓 delighted to start the role and have the opportunity to carry on the fantastic work that my predecessor, Harriet Ranson, has done on behalf of LNR members.

鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to continuing Harriet鈥檚 work with the police forces on rural crime as well as working with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the voices of our members are heard.鈥

New Midlands administrator, Katie Hewett

Katie Hewett has joined the Midlands team as a regional administrator, helping to perform crucial behind-the-scenes work alongside admin colleagues.

鈥淚 previously worked in an admin role for 12 years for Coventry City Council in Children鈥檚 Services,鈥 she said.

鈥淚 have lived in villages in Warwickshire all my life and enjoy being surrounded by our beautiful countryside. My favourite hobby is walking and being outdoors and I鈥檝e done a lot of travelling in the UK and overseas.

鈥淚鈥檓 getting married next June to my partner of six years, and we live with my two sons and my stepdaughter.鈥
