Now in its fifteenth year, celebrates all the great characteristics of British beef, from its delicious taste to all the excellent work that beef farmers do to produce it.
Organised by Ladies in Beef and AHDB, the week shines a spotlight on a staple of British food, with beef enjoyed by families across Britain all year round.
Launching on St George鈥檚 Day (23 April 2025), this year鈥檚 campaign is farmer-led, putting the faces behind British beef farmers front and centre of the celebration, demonstrating their commitment to producing naturally delicious British beef.
The week also highlights the vital, wider role that beef farmers play in protecting our natural environment 鈥� for example, British farming provides 19,100 hectares of wildflowers for pollinators.

Future of beef聽
Coinciding with Great British Beef Week, the NFU has launched 鈥�Backing British Beef 鈥� Our vision for 2035鈥� 鈥� a report that outlines the NFU鈥檚 vision for the livestock sector over the next decade. The report discusses how frameworks for sustainability, animal health and welfare and the supply chain can help the industry continue to grow. The report also sets out our asks of the government, showing how it can best protect the stellar reputation of the industry through legislation and international trade.

Ladies in Beef, which first began the campaign, is a voluntary organisation of female beef farmers founded by Devon beef producer Jilly Greed and former NFU President Minette Batters.
