Find out what outcomes Defra sees ELMs adding to the environmental ambitions of the government.

For the first time Defra has provided information on how Environmental Land Management schemes (ELMs) can contribute to the government鈥檚 environmental ambitions.

ELMs is only one mechanism to deliver these ambitions. Defra does highlight the role of regulation (currently undergoing reform), proportionate enforcement, and private finance as other mechanisms.
