The BBC focused on UK agriculture across its TV, radio and online channels in celebration of farming communities across England.聽
Issues covered by members included IHT, SFI, harvest, food security, farming opportunities for young people and rural crime.
NFU Vice-president Rachel Hallos spoke live on the BBC Radio Leeds breakfast show about the farming year and some of the big issues impacting farmers in the region.
Later in the day, Rachel spoke to BBC North West Tonight as part of an outside broadcast from member Bill Webb's farm in Hale, Merseyside, about the challenges facing the industry. Members Olly Harrison and Thomas Bulmer also featured on the broadcast.
Throughout the day, BBC Radio Lancashire broadcast live from Gisburn Auction Mart in Skipton. Several members were interviewed including Lancashire County Chair Becki Fielding, dairy farmer Ed Towers, sheep farmer Mark Ireland and livestock farmer Amy Shaw.
BBC Radio Cumbria were also live throughout the day at member Neil Young鈥檚 farm. Cumbria Council Delegate Ian Bowness was among the interviewees.
BBC Radio Merseyside broadcast live from the home of members Mick and Francesca Russell鈥檚 farm in Warrington. Member Celia Graze was interviewed on BBC Radio Manchester and Cheshire members James Scott and Richard Yarwood appeared on BBC Radio Stoke.聽
In the East of the region, BBC Look North East and Cumbria interviewed Northumberland County Chair Mac Young live on his farm about issues such as climate change, business planning and young entrants.
BBC Radio Newcastle interviewed Simon Bainbridge and Willie Robson about climate change and the environment. BBC Radio Tees chatted to member Lucinda Bird about diversification while member and former SYFAP Rebecca Wilson featured on BBC Radio York alongside Callum Stark and Emily Johnson.聽
Meanwhile, members Moyra and Dave Collinson and Tamara Hall featured on BBC Radio Humberside and BBC Sheffield interviewed James Bannister.聽
