Visit to Joseph Heler Cheese
Hidden away in the heart of the Cheshire countryside in the market town of Nantwich you’ll find the Joseph Heler family dairy on Laurels Farm. It’s here that their team of expert cheese makers produce classic British cheese to time-honoured recipes. Their story dates back over a century, when Joseph Heler’s grandmother started the family tradition by making one whole Cheshire cheese every day in the family’s farmhouse at Laurel’s Farm. This cheese-making expertise was passed down through the generations to Joseph Heler himself, who in 1957 set up his own company – Joseph Heler Cheese.
They still produce all their cheese by hand, on open tables. Use only the finest local milk, sourced from specially selected dairy farms and still treat each individual block of cheese they make with the same care and attention as when the Heler family’s cheese making tradition began over a century ago.
