Farmers and growers will join Worcestershire Council delegates at Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre on 25 January.
Emma Hamer, NFU Worcestershire county adviser, said: 鈥淭his visit promises to be a very interesting and useful and I would urge Worcestershire farmers and growers to join us at Hartpury University.
鈥淒ue to the ever increasing amounts of new ideas and concepts, as well as support opportunities for farming businesses in the areas of technology, it is often difficult to navigate.
鈥淭here are lots of considerations to make when looking at new technologies or innovations to apply to farming operations or planning and this event will help farmers consider what is available.
鈥淧lease come along to see and learn about the Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre and hear about how its services can benefit you and your farm business.鈥�
The visit will start at 10.30am with refreshments听ahead of Mrs Hamer giving a presentation on what financial support is around the corner for farm businesses.
She will update the delegation on the current and future funding landscape to support farm business planning.
While Ben Thompson, Hartpury Agri-Tech Centre manager, will discuss his role and that of the centre in supporting both current and future generations of farming professionals.
At noon there will be a farm walk around the university鈥檚 commercial farm, the Agri-Tech Centre and the associated business support facilities.
Farmers will discuss and hear about how some of latest digital technologies, systems and tools can help address some key farming challenges.
There will be an introduction to the Hartpury Digital Innovation Farm, an opportunity to look at the latest technology trials and applied research and how farmers and growers can put a measure to their business鈥� environmental impact.
The group will also look at farm business data tools.
The event is set to finish at 1pm with networking and refreshments.
