Mike Weavers
NFU bTB adviserMike is an adviser in the NFU鈥檚 bTB (bovine tuberculosis) team, having joined the organisation in 2024 following a broad career in animal health.
Before coming to the NFU, Mike worked across various roles focused on livestock health and welfare, which gave him a strong foundation for supporting farmers through the challenges of disease control and regulation.
Mike's current work covers licensed units, TB hotspots, and member support across the Midlands and Northern England. He also contributes to the bTB subgroup of the GB Calf Strategy, helping shape national approaches to calf health and TB management.
One of the most rewarding parts of Mike's role is meeting NFU members across the country. He really values the opportunity to hear directly from farmers, understand their concerns, and explore how the NFU can best support them. Whether it鈥檚 navigating complex policy or offering practical advice, Mike is committed to making a positive difference for our members and the wider livestock sector.
