David Hewitson

I came back to the farm in 2016, and traditionally it was arable, sheep and pigs but we were looking to expand the business and go into broilers.聽

I run the poultry side of the business with my dad, and it鈥檚 a great industry to be in. It鈥檚 really technology and data driven, so very interesting and quite different to the rest of the farm.

I went to Leeds University to study History and Politics and didn鈥檛 have any intention of coming back to the farm, but then my friends went to London and I decided an office job wasn鈥檛 for me.

I鈥檓 looking forward to meeting other farmers in the sector and industry experts.
